[Abstract]  The ability to stabilize other proteins against thermal aggregation is one of the major characteristics of chaperone proteins. Molecular chaperones bind to nonnative conformations of proteins. [Abstract]  Acetyl-coenzyme A synthethase (Acs, E.C.6.2.1.1) is an acetate activating enzyme widely represented in nature from bacteria to human.
