[Abstract] An electrophoretic mobility shift assay (EMSA), also referred to as mobility shift electrophoresis, a gel shift assay, gel mobility shift assay, band shift assay, or gel retardation assay, is a common technique used to study protein-DNA or protein-RNA interactions.
