[Abstract] 2-Methylthio-N6-isopentenyladenosine (ms2i6A) is an evolutionally conserved posttranscriptional modification found at position 37 of four mammalian mitochondrial tRNAs, mt-tRNASer(UCN), mt-tRNATrp, mt-tRNAPhe and mt-tRNATyr.
